Insania Praises Ooredoo Thunders and Nigma Galaxy
Often hailed as the best team in the world, Team Liquid has a variety of achievements under its belt. Its most recent ones include a top three finish at The International 2022 and a top two finish at the Lima Major 2023. Its dominance has persisted through both the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) Tour 1 and Tour 2, consistently placing first in the standings. After the team’s recent 2-1 win against Oordeoo Thunders, Liquid’s support player Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi was present for a post-match interview where he gave his thoughts and opinions on the teams still competing for the last slot in the Berlin Major 2023.
iNSaNiA thinks Nigma Galaxy “are cooking something up” in Division I
Following Team Liquid’s exciting three-game series against Ooredoo Thunders, the team came out on top with a 2-1 victory in the series. Liquid’s support player iNSaNiA was present in the post-match interview to share his thoughts on the game and the teams that are competing for the last slot at the Berlin Major 2023.
“I think out of all the teams we played against, Ooredoo Thunders were probably the best and I put Nigma as a second. I think they’re (Nigma Galaxy) really cooking something up. It’s starting to click for them. I think they have some bad games here and there but I’m a Nigma believer, let’s go King (referring to SumaiL),” says iNSaNiA.
iNSaNiA thinks that Nigma Galaxy is starting to improve towards the end of its DPC WEU 2023 Tour 2: Division I run, believing that it will keep its spot in the division and also potentially compete for a spot for the Berlin Major 2023. Unfortunately, the current standings in the division mean that Nigma Galaxy no longer has a chance at qualifying for the Berlin Major 2023 and will have to play tiebreakers to keep its spot in Division I and avoid being relegated to Division II.
The Liquid support player also provided some insights into Ooredoo Thunders, praising the team’s support player. “I think they’re actually really really good. I’ve been watching their 5 player (Oleh “kaori” Medvedok) for a while now, I think since two previous teams ago. I was watching a lot of his replays. He has this crazy playstyle where he dies a lot but the way he dies is really annoying to play against,” he said.
INSaNiA will be moving forward with the rest of Team Liquid to the Berlin Major 2023 to compete with the best teams across the world for a lion’s share of DPC points and potentially secure a The International 2023 spot. The team will also be competing at DreamLeague Season 19 alongside other top teams such as Gaimin Gladiators, Tundra Esports, Entity, OG, Shopify Rebellion, and Evil Geniuses, among others.
