Is Fortnite Going to Have a Racing Mode?

While players are busy drowning in the nostalgia of Fortnite’s Season OG, details about a potential Racing Mode in the game have been leaked. Many reputable data miners are at work and have stated that Fortnite could announce this any time now.

Fortnite is seemingly gearing up to bring forward an array of different vehicles and vehicle types, enabling players to drive them in the battle royale. However, these could also be heading to a separate mode.

Here’s all we know about the leaked Fortnite Racing mode so far.

Fortnite Racing Mode Potential Release Date

No official announcement has been made yet by Epic Games or Fortnite regarding the Racing mode, but it is speculated to be up and running in the free-to-play Battle Royale very soon. Many believe that the racing mode will be a part of the upcoming update, that is, Chapter 5 Season 1 of Fortnite. This chapter might begin on 3rd December 2023.

If the leaks are indeed true, once Chapter 5 is rolled out, players will be able to go up against each other in a new racing mode featuring unqiue maps, and other systems.

What Is the Fortnite Racing Mode?

This racing mode is rumored to bring a separate segment in the game, with its own maps, progressions, designs, etc. Thanks to reliable leakers like Shiina, we do have some information about what this game mode entails. Customizable Vehicles in Fortnite’s Racing Mode

While the racing mode is already a delight for many fans, others will be elated to know that a range of customizing options may also be on the way for them. After Fortnite’s release of its own Unreal Editor named Creative 2.0, players can jump into the game’s public arena where they can design and publish their content for the game.

This means players will have tons of customization options in the racing mode as well. Thanks to reliable leakers, it has been confirmed that the garage in the racing mode will have customization options for players.

It is also reported that there will be a separate battle pass in Fortnite’s Racing Mode. This shows that this is an entirely different segment, diverging from the game. However, nothing has been confirmed yet and this info should be taken with a grain of salt.

In another tweet, Shiina also revealed that this exciting game mode also comes with its own set of cosmetics, for different cars. There are going to be AI drivers, setting the atmosphere for the game, along with driver reactions, adding a tinge of entertainment. Players can also invite their friends and engage in friendly car racing in the custom lobby.

This seems like a great way to collaborate with Rocket League, combining the best of both worlds in a single game. But, keep in mind that we are yet to hear any official information from Fortnite, which might happen any time soon.
