Talon Esports Releases Hyde & Kpii After Lackluster TI11 Performance
With the post-TI (The International) roster shuffle season in full swing, many believed that teams around the world would look to rebuild their roster for the upcoming season. It seems like the SEA (Southeast Asian) region is the most affected region by far, with Talon Esports now announcing that it has released the duo of Damien “kpii” Sau-jing and Brizio “Hyde” Budiana.
Despite the organization’s impressive regional performance throughout the season, its lackluster results at LAN events left much to be desired and now it looks to strengthen its position within the region.
Kpii & Hyde depart from Talon Esports
It has barely been a week since The International 2022 (TI11) concluded, yet the post-TI roster shuffle season continues to surprise people as Talon Esports now joins the roster shuffle season by announcing the departure of Damien “kpii” Sau-jing and Brizio “Hyde” Budiana.
The duo were instrumental in Talon’s rise in the region, as both players were on the team since its inception in late 2021. While Talon Esports did manage to cement itself as a contender within the SEA region during its debut season, its LAN event results left much to be desired from the organization as the team was eliminated from TI11 during the group stages.
With kpii & Hyde now available as free agents, it will be interesting to see their next destinations as many teams are currently looking to rebuild their own rosters. Additionally, kpii announced that he is interested in coaching should he not find a team to play with for the upcoming season.
As of now, Talon’s roster is as follow:
-
Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon
-
Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman
-
Worawit “Q” Mekchai
Currently, the remaining players’ contract statuses remain unknown. However, going by the current roster shuffles people can expect news from either of the players or the team itself as the month goes on.
