FUT Centurions Release Date
The FUT Centurions promo is leaked to start on Friday, 6 January, at the usual time of 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
It will take over from Winter Wildcards Team 2, with this campaign also stated to last for two weeks.
That means we should see a Team 1 and Team 2 release, with Team 2 coming on Friday, 13 January and lasting until Friday, 20 January, when Team of the Year is set to drop!
There is also said to be a Mini-Release coming for Team 1 on Sunday, 8 January and then for Team 2 on Saturday, 14 January.
FUT Centurions
FUT Centurions will be a brand-new event in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, so hopefully, EA will have some surprises in store for us.
At the moment, there isn’t much information to inform us about the promo, with just the name leaked and nothing officially announced.
Of course, we can expect the usual boosts coming to selected players, with cards released into Packs and coming via SBCs and Objectives, but what will link those players to the promo?
Initially, we thought the event would focus on players that have made 100+ appearances for their club or country, scored 100+ goals or made 100+ assists – or even been a part of a team that gained 100 points in a season!
However, regular leaker Donk has suggested it could be more akin to the FUT Captains promo we saw last year, which makes sense.
A centurion was the commander of 100 soldiers in the ancient Roman army and that idea is mirrored in the card design with the Roman column and gold motif.
If we follow this line of thinking, then the FUT Centurions promo could be made up of players who have captained their club or country 100+ times.
We could also see boosted FUT Heroes included in the selection again – as we did with FUT Captains – and maybe even some more Campaign Icons!
Leaks
So far, we haven’t seen any card leaks for the FUT Centurions promo, but this section will be updated as soon as they start coming out.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marco Reus and Antonio Di Natale are some of the names suggested online, however, that is merely speculation at the moment.
The only real leak we have is the card design, which we have known for some time now.
It looks to be inspired by ancient Rome and the centurions that led soldiers in the army, leading many to believe that the promo will be similar to the FUT Captains event from last year.
