AEW Fight Forever: Gameplay footage and two roster reveals coming soon

AEW Fight Forever is looming on the lineup later this year, and we’re finally going to get another look at this upcoming console game.

The previously untitled project by AEW Games and Yuke’s is set for new gameplay and roster details as we learn what AEW Fight Forever will finally look like.

AEW Fight Forever: Gameplay footage and roster reveals coming

The previously untitled AEW Console Game remained relatively dormant with only a few very early glimpses of the product filtering out, but the floodgates may finally be cracking.

Tony Khan recently confirmed that AEW Fight Forever will be the name of the upcoming release, and now we’ve got two major reveals on the way.

As announced by AEW Games on Twitter, fans will get a special All Elite Arcade stream on Wednesday, May 4 at 11am ET featuring some major AEW Fight Forever reveals.

They’ll be showing gameplay footage for the first time since the preview featuring Darby Allin and Jungle Boy dropped more than six months ago.

On top of that, they’ve promised two roster reveals featuring new wrestlers who have not previously been showcased in AEW Fight Forever preview footage.

The reveal will stream live on YouTube from AEW Games and could feature major names like CM Punk or “Hangman” Adam Page that have yet to be showcased.

Reveals will bring AEW Fight Forever Roster into double digits

While the full AEW Fight Forever roster is expected to be much more extensive, we’ve only gotten a few confirmations so far.

Through a combination of previously released gameplay or development footage and press release or interview confirmations, here is the current confirmed AEW Fight Forever roster:

  • Chris Jericho
  • Kenny Omega
  • Hikaru Shida
  • Matt Jackson (The Young Bucks)
  • Nick Jackson (The Young Bucks)
  • Darby Allin
  • Jungle Boy
  • Thunder Rosa
  • Owen Hart

If we do indeed get two brand new reveals separate of those we’ve seen mentioned so far, this would bring the currently known AEW Fight Forever roster to 11 wrestlers in total.

However, it’s very possible that Thunder Rosa will be among the next reveals, as the current AEW Women’s World Champion was confirmed to be in the game via an interview but has not yet been shown in footage.

The gameplay and visual style has developed and deviated significantly since we saw a glimpse of Hikaru Shida in the very first trailer, so a proper reveal with Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker seems like a prime candidate.

However, considering the upcoming title match between AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and CM Punk, those still look to be the most likely character models that’ll be showcased.
