British CS:GO Veteran ALEX Takes a Break Due to Unresolved Health Issues
One of the CS:GO veterans from Britain, Alexander “ALEX” McMeekin, has confirmed his departure from Fnatic six months after being removed from the team’s active roster. Talking about the future, the 27-year-old spoke about his ongoing health issue which has forced him to take a step back from the competitive circuit.
ALEX did not specify a timeline for his departure but did clarify that he is not going to join another CS:GO team now and is instead going on a break to concentrate on his wellbeing.

One of the top CS:GO players from Britain, ALEX, has come forward to officially announce his departure from Fnatic. The two parties mutually decided to part ways as the former IGL (In-Game Leader) for the team was not able to perform his duties and neither was the organization able to sell him.
“They were very supportive when I told them what was happening and I thank them for that. For now, I have and will continue to take a break,” added ALEX.
ALEX provides an update on his situation
The Brit also spoke about his future stating that he has not decided to join another CS:GO team immediately, due to his deteriorating stomach issues that he has been suffering with for a few years now.
“I’ve now decided to take a break to concentrate on getting better, instead of living with the issues,” said ALEX, focussing all his attention on healing himself both physically and mentally.
Providing more clarity on the situation, ALEX revealed that his contract with Fnatic had been terminated a “while back” and he was only talking about it now to provide an update.

ALEX was benched from Fnatic’s active CS:GO lineup in May 2022 during the organization’s rebuild following a massive slump in performance, which included its failure to qualify for the PGL Antwerp Major 2022.
The revamp worked in favor of Fnatic as the new lineup has helped the organization qualify for the IEM Rio Major 2022, where it is one match away from qualifying to the Legends Stage or getting eliminated.
