Dupreeh Becomes First CS:GO Pro to Cross $2 Million in Tournament Earnings
CS:GO has come a long way alongside the growth of esports. The game has already managed to change the lives of many content creators, streamers, players, talents, and other personalities who are connected to it in one way or another.
One such personality who has made a lucrative career out of the Valve title is Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen. The Danish veteran who started competing in 2012 has become the first-ever CS:GO player to reach the two million milestone in tournament earnings, currently standing at $2,014,331 USD (INR 16,46,19,187) as per data collected by Esports Earnings.
He is closely followed by his former Astralis teammate from Denmark, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth, with just $38,451 USD (INR 31,43,542) separating the two players.
Dupreeh becomes the first CS:GO player to reach $2,000,000 milestone in tournament earnings
After more than 10 years competing professionally in CS:GO, dupreeh has become the first professional player in history to reach the two million career earnings milestone.
The 29-year-old was able to achieve this feat following Team Vitality’s win at the ESL Pro League Season 16 where Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut showcased a dominant record-breaking performance.

Vitality was awarded $200,000 USD (INR 1,63,44,800) in prize money for lifting the trophy in Malta, which resulted in dupreeh setting a new high in tournament earnings across the entirety of competitive CS:GO.
Overall, the list of highest-earning CS:GO players on the basis of prize money won from tournaments continues to be dominated by the Danish quartet who used to compete for Astralis in the past.

The most fascinating takeaway from this is the fact that dev1ce continues to hold on to the number three position despite having stepped away as an active CS:GO player for almost 10 months now.
