The ESL Pro League Season 16 is finally upon us with some of the biggest CS:GO teams from around the world prepared to go up against each other.

This season is scheduled to take place from 31st August to 2nd October and it will be featuring a total prize pool of $835,000 USD (INR 6,64,31,348) with 24 teams competing to become the champions.

This tournament will be taking place on LAN in Malta, the playoffs stage will be further played in front of a live audience at the Salini Resort.

ESL Pro League Season 16: Complete Details

The premier month-long CS:GO league is back with its sixteenth season, featuring 24 teams that are ready to go up against each other on LAN. Here is everything you need to know about ESL Pro League Season 16.

Teams – Invited and Qualified

A total of 24 CS:GO teams are participating in the ESL Pro League Season 16, out of these 15 are permanent partner teams, three have been invited based on their ESL world ranking, and six have made it through the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16.

ESL Pro League S16 – Teams

  • Group-A: NAVI, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Vitality, Fnatic, Spirit, Endpoint

  • Group-B: FaZe, G2, BIG, Outsiders, MIBR, FTW

  • Group-C: ENCE, Heroic, Astralis, MOUZ, Complexity, HEET

  • Group-D: Cloud9, Movistar, Liquid, FURIA, Evil Geniuses, Eternal Fire

Format

Group Stage

  • The 24 competing teams have been divided into four groups of six teams each.

  • In each group, every team will play against another once and all matches will be a best-of-three series.

  • One after the other, all four groups will play out their matches across a period of four weeks, one group each week.

  • The top three teams from each group will qualify to the playoffs, while the bottom three teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

  • The team finishing first in each group will directly qualify to the quarterfinals, while the second and third placed teams will advance to the round of eight.

Playoffs

  • Three teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs. In total, 12 teams will be competing in this stage of the tournament.

  • Eight teams will start from the first round while the remaining four teams will directly qualify to the quarterfinals.

  • The playoffs will be following a single-elimination format where each match will be a best-of-three series, except for the grand finals which will feature a best-of-five series.

Prize Pool

The ESL Pro League Season 16 will feature a total prize pool of $835,000 USD that will be divided between all the teams participating in this tournament based on their overall ranking.

Apart from this, the top eight teams will also be earning additional BLAST Premier Circuit Points, and the winner of this tournament will be securing a direct invite to BLAST World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023.

This tournament will be broadcasted live across multiple platforms like YouTube, Twitch, ESL, and more, in multiple languages like English, Russian, Serbian, Slovenian, and Spanish.
