FIFA 22 Fernandez & Zinchenko Showdown SBC: Players LEAKED ahead of BIG game

FIFA 22 users are enjoying the TOTS Warmup Series in Ultimate Team before the main Team of the Season promo drops.

Adding to all the content that we’re already getting, a new Showdown SBC has been leaked, highlighting the Champions League semi-finals second-leg between Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Nacho Fernandez and Oleksandr Zinchenko are the players stated to be included, so check out their cards and how you could unlock them for your FUT club right here.

Battle of the Giants

The first leg of the clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid did not disappoint, in what was a thrilling 4-3 victory for the blues.

There was some very questionable defending during that game, so it is interesting to see that EA is planning to put the spotlight on a couple of players from the backline of each side.

Zinchenko had a brilliant game in Manchester, solid defensively and helping to create many attacking opportunities for his team.

Nacho didn’t start but came on for an injured David Alaba at half-time, so could make the starting XI when the sides meet again on Wednesday, 4 May.

SBC Requirements

With nothing officially announced by EA yet, we can only speculate on what the requirements may be and when the SBC could land.

With the match taking place on Wednesday, 4 May, it is likely we see the SBC appear over the weekend, although it could come earlier.

We don’t even have a leaked rating for the cards, but at this stage of the season expect them to be rated around 90 OVR.

With that in mind, a couple of squads may be required to submit to unlock the cards, one with around an 83-rating, and the other with an 85-rating.

How do Showdown cards work?

FIFA 22 Showdown SBCs are a very simple, but very clever concept, that relies on real-world footballing fixtures and results to determine upgrades to cards.

To start off, 2 cards are released as Showdown SBCs for a limited time for an upcoming fixture, usually pitting two relatively equally matched teams against each other that have an interesting or important fixture upcoming.

FUT players can complete both SBCs if they wish if the cards are heavily upgraded from their base versions, or they can ‘bet’ on which teams they think will win the fixture by completing their SBC in hope of a further upgrade.

Once the SBC expires and the game is played, the Showdown SBC cards receive upgrades based on the result of the fixture.

For the team that wins the fixture, the corresponding Showdown SBC card in-game will receive a +2 OVR Upgrade, further boosting the card to new heights, while the card from the team that lost will remain the same rating.

If the fixture results in a draw, then both cards will receive a +1 OVR Upgrade.
