Fortnite Season 3: Release Date, Battle Pass, Leaks, Theme & More
Fortnite Season 3 is set to start in just over one week and it truly feels like we are starting to learn a little more about what to expect. This hasn’t been the case for long though as the Fortnite community has been silent on Season 3 for some time.
That being said, it’s nice to be in a situation where we know very little about what is next, something that is rare in the games industry as a whole. Fortnite Season 3 will need to live up to the standards set so far in Chapter 3 which is no easy task.
Here’s everything we know and want to see across Fortnite Season 3 when it arrives…
LATEST – Battle Pass Leaked!
It appears that the Fortnite Season 3 Battle Pass has leaked online! The entire thing is still mostly unknown but some of the bigger surprises have been revealed.
Update brings event leaks
We’re finally starting to see files in relation to an end of season event in Fortnite. It looks like we’ll kick off Season 3 in style with a big blowoff event for everyone to take part in.
A collider has also arrived on the map and appears to be counting down to the event in a very strange way. Leakers are staying tight-lipped on the event for now leaving players incredibly excited for what’s about to happen.
Fortnite Season 3 Release Date
Fortnite Season 3 is set to start on Saturday, 4 June at the earliest. We know that the Season 2 Battle Pass expires on Friday, 3 June meaning the next day is the likely start date.
There is, however, every chance that there is a delay to the start of Season 3 should an event take place and take servers offline for story-related reasons. Despite there being a possibility of this, it surely would have been leaked or teased by now so we’re fairly confident in the aforementioned release date.
Battle Pass & Theme
Spider-Man and Doctor Strange have been the two headline characters for recent Battle Passes and lest we forget that Venom showed up late in Chapter 2 as well.
While this string of Marvel characters is likely a coincidence, we could love to see another hero or villain step into the Fortnite story next season.
The theme of Fortnite Season 3 may come down to how Season 2 ends. If we get an event that ties up the finale of the war on the island, then maybe we could truly end up with any kind of story moving forward.
The likelihood is that this arc actually continues into Season 3 and wraps up properly further down the line. We would still like to see a big event take place, but the current story has us quite invested and we’re not ready to move on just yet!
