Genshin Impact Yoimiya Build Guide: Best Weapons, Artifacts, & Team Compositions
The Yoimiya a year in the making, but the wait will soon be is over with Genshin Impact 2.8.
The head of Naganohara Fireworks in Inazuma City, Yoimiya is a 5-Star Pyro Bow user, whose gameplay is based on normal attacks.
An outgoing individual, Yoimiya is an absolute chatterbox with a heart of gold and is beloved by everyone on Narukami Island.
Here’s our Yelan build guide for Genshin Impact 2.8, including her best weapons, artifacts, and team compositions.
Who is Yoimiya?
People in Inazuma believe Summer is not the same without Yoimiya and her fireworks, and she has quite an explosive presence in-game in Genshin Impact as well.
Strengths
- Great DPS against single-target enemies. With strong attacks from a safe distance.
- Yoimiya’s play style requires a low level of mechanical skills, due to her Damage being based on normal attacks.
- Low Energy Cost burst that buff the attack of Teammates.
Weaknesses
- Elemental Burst’s ATK buff doesn’t apply to herself.
- Yoimiya is not very effective against mobs of enemies.
- Certain weapons affect the Synergy with certain artifacts.
Best Weapons
These weapons will enhance Yoimiya to meet her full potential in battle.
Thundering Pulse
- The bow is Tailor-Made for Yoimiya. Increasing her Crit. DMG and buffing her normal attacks based on a combination of abilities.
- A great weapon for teams that generates a lot of Energy Particles.
- We recommend avoiding Shimenawa’s Reminiscence while using this weapon cause drains the energy of the team.
Rust
- In refinement 5 this 4-star weapon is only 15% less powerful than Thundering Pulse, it is not only the best F2P option but the second-best weapon for Yoimiya.
If you don’t have Rust R5 or Thundering Pulse, Yoimiya can use other 5-star bows like Aqua Simulacra, and Skyward Harp.
Best Artifacts
Yoimiya can work with a variety of artifact sets and combinations. It is important to keep a balance between Attack, Crit. Rate & Crit. DMG.
Her elemental burst has a low cost, so we consider that 130% of Energy recharge is enough.
Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
- The most cost-efficient set is four pieces of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence.
- Good pairing these artifacts with Rust or other ATK base weapons.
- For teams in which companions don’t need an ATK buff, like Yelan, Yun Jin, Albedo, Zhongli.
Crimson With Flower
- Best artifact set for Yoimiya using Thundering Pulse of Hamayumi.
- Rotations are easier considering, that there is less energy management involved.
- Not a very efficient domain to farm artifacts.
Retracing Bolide
- Another more experimental alternative is 4 pieces of Retracing Bolide, considered by some players the perfect match for Yoimiya esthetically.
- The Artifacts are quite useful in teams in which Yoimiya is protected by shields, which is desirable to avoid enemies’ interruption.
- Yoimiya will increase her Damage with every attack as long as she is not interrupted. However, farming these artifacts will not benefit other characters.
Best Team Compositions
While Yoimiya doesn’t have a single ideal team, and some players see this as a weakness, it means there are a wide variety of options to get to her full potential.
And with the addition of the Dendro element to Genshin Impact,
Vape Teams
The more straightforward teams are those based on vaporization, in which the only staple component is the presence of a hydro character.
Main DPS
- Yoimiya.
Sub-DPS
- Yelan or Xingqiu for fast and consistent Elemental Application. Double Hydro is also a possibility.
- Kokomi for less damage output but way more survivability.
Then we have three variations depending on the type of artifacts and play style.
With Buffers
- Bennet and Yun Jin will provide strong buffs to normal attacks healing, shield, and Pyro Resonance.
With Shield
- Yun Jin and Zhongli will provide an almost permanent shield, and the Geo resonance will reduce the need for a healer.
- Diona, Thoma, and Albedo can also provide good shields and buffs.
With Pyro Resistance Shred
- Adding an Anemo Character like Sucrose or Kazuha will increase the viability of Yoimiya’s teams against groups of enemies.
Overload Team
Teams based on overload reactions require lower investment, and it will increase Yoimiya’s viability with the ability to produce AoE DMG with Beidou’s Elemental Burst.
It’s important to note, however, that this team is less flexible, requiring more specific teammates than others.
DPS: Yoimiya
SUB-DPS: Beidou
