Here Are All the Main Villains in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a few weeks away from officially hitting the shelves on 20th October. Several Spiderman fans are highly anticipating this upcoming title as it brings a host of new upgrades and technical improvements to the already successful series developed by Insomniac Games. This new game will feature two protagonists; Peter Parker and Miles Morales and it will allow players to dynamically swap between them. The plot will focus on the lives of Pete and Miles after the events of the first two games.

Although the first two titles had several iconic villains, Spider-Man 2 will present a culmination of these adversaries, adding more immersion and depth to the game’s lore. Without further ado, let’s dive right in and take a look.

Venom

 This symbiote monster is certainly one of the most intriguing villains to ever be present in a Spider-Man game, considering that Peter himself has acknowledged that they are both equally matched. We recently got to see a brand-new trailer that showcased both Miles and Peter battling it out with the Venom. If you can recall the ending of both previous titles you would’ve found that Harry was being treated for his Oshtoran Syndrome with the symbiote. By the end of Miles Morales, you will see that the symbiote will attach itself to Harry, which gives us another clear lead as to who is behind Venom’s Mask.

Kraven the Hunter

This maniacal big game hunter is finally making his way into Insomniac’s Spider-Man universe. Generally, his main motive is to defeat Spiderman in order to prove to the world that he is indeed the greatest hunter to ever exist. Apart from being overconfident, he mostly treats his enemies as equals until proven otherwise. It is evident that he would head to New York City when he gets to know that there’s not just one but two Spidermen this time.

Lizard

The Lizard has been a part of the Spiderman universe for a long time and he can be considered as one of the most iconic villains in the franchise. Being one of the brilliant scientific minds at Oscorp, Dr. Curt Connors attempts to engineer a revolutionary regeneration serum that will change humanity for the better. Unfortunately, his experiments go wrong, turning him into a powerful Lizard creature. We can expect him to make a return in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Grizzly

 We got a glimpse of this villain in the game’s official story trailer where he seems to be fiercely fighting with Peter. Once a professional wrestler, Maxwell Markham turns to the life of a supervillain after getting his license revoked after a fraud accusation. He still seeks revenge on those who have wronged him and he might have made his way to Insomniac’s universe to do the same.

Mysterio

He was featured in the Expanded map trailer of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, albeit only for a few seconds. Quentin Beck is an adversary of Spiderman and the Daredevil. Although he does not possess any superhero abilities he uses his skills as an illusionist and a special effects artist to engage in criminal activities. At the time of writing, it is unclear what role he will play in this upcoming game.
