Honkai Star Rail 1.4 Banners: Jingliu, Topaz and Guinaifen

Honkai Star Rail 1.4’s reveal livestream is set to take place next week but Hoyoverse has already teased the upcoming characters of the patch. We are getting two new 5-star characters with Jingliu being a surprise entry as she was thought to be dead by many. Hoyoverse will officially reveal the kits of all the upcoming characters soon but we already know about the kids of these characters thanks to beta testers who are currently participating in the patch 1.4 beta. Here is a quick look at Jingliu, Topaz and Guinaifen, who are the three characters arriving in Honkai Star Rail 1.4’s banners.

In addition to two new 5-star characters and one new 4-star character, we are also getting a Seele rerun according to leaks. This is yet to be confirmed by Hoyoverse so

Patch 1.4 First-Half

Jingliu (Ice, Destruction)

Jingliu first appeared in Honkai Star Rail’s animated short, A Flash, where she was shown fighting against the Arbiter General, Jing Yuan. She was then leaked to be a playable character. According to leaks, she follows the Destruction Path to access both single-target and multi-target damage abilities. Her Skill deals Ice DMG to a signal target and generates New Moon stacks. If you plan to pull for Jingliu in Honkai Star Rail, here is our recommended build for her.

Patch 1.4 Second Half

Topaz (Fire, Hunt)

Unlike other Hunt characters like Dan Heng, Seele or Sushang, Topaz has a very different playstyle with the character being able to bring summons into battle. This is the first time in Honkai Star Rail that we are getting a character with a summoner playstyle. Topaz treads on the Path of the Hunt and calls upon Trotters to fight by your side.

Guinaifen (Fire, Nihility)

Guinaifen is the only new 4-star character who will arrive next patch. She is a Fire Nihility character who specializes in damage over time effects. With the recent release of Kafka, we have consistent sources of Wind Shear, Shock and Bleed, but we were lacking reliable Burn damage. With the release of Guinaifen, you will have yet another flexible option to add to your Kafka teams depending on which elements you are going up against.
