How to get into the Overwatch 2 Beta with Twitch Drops & OWL

The first Overwatch 2 Beta test is here, which means players can test out the PVP gameplay of the next entry in the popular series now!

As always, there’s one surefire way to sign up to gain beta access but it’s not guaranteed as it relies on luck. And while Blizzard also offered Overwatch 2 beta codes via Twitch Drops last week, this is now over.

Thankfully the Overwatch League is here to help players who still don’t have their keys.

Overwatch Beta Twitch Streamer Drops

Alongside the usual method of signing up for a Blizzard beta that requires you to visit their site and “opt-in” which most of the time invites a fraction of the entrants, players have been given another more guaranteed way to get into the Overwatch 2 Beta.

All you have to do is watch any of the over 200 Overwatch partnered Twitch streamers who have Overwatch 2 Beta drops enabled for a total of four hours and you’ll have Overwatch 2 Beta access.

These Twitch Drops will be active from 1 pm ET to 9 pm ET on April 27, giving players an eight-hour window to get their beta access. For the full list of Overwatch partnered Twitch streamers view below.

But first, you’ll need to link their Battle.net and Twitch accounts. Here’s a step by step. (Ignore if already linked)

  1. Go to your Twitch account settings
  2. Click on Connections
  3. Follow the instructions to link your Battle.net and Twitch accounts
  4. That’s it!

You must have an Overwatch license associated with that account you linked in order to redeem the beta drop. Alternatively, if you don’t own Overwatch, you can sign up for a free trial and it’ll work the same way.
