How to Investigate the Anomaly in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies?
In Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Act 4 features a single tough mission called “Bad Signal.” This mission involves investigating an anomaly in Urzikstan. And this is not an easy feat, especially if you’re going solo.
What you have to do is locate and check out the anomaly, which is not too complicated. But what follows after this is serious, including boss fights. So, make sure you have powerful weapons and enough cash to upgrade them whenever you need them, because you are definitely going to need them.
Before Season 1 launched, Treyarch teased the significance of the anomaly, hinting at what players could expect. Accessed through Dark Aether Rifts, which are major additions to the season, it’s time to gear up for this mission.
How to Investigate the Anomaly in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies?
Finding the anomaly in the Bad Signal mission of Modern Warfare 3 is quite simple. All you have to do is look for a large triangle structure with a portal at its center. This will be on your tactical map.
You will notice Exfil icons with a star next to them. Out of them, locate the one labeled “Bad Signal.” It is typically situated within the Tier 2 zone of Urzikstan, which is near the Tier 3 zone’s perimeter.
If you’re prepared to take on hordes of level two zombies and bosses, make your way to the Anomaly. You’ll find a large swirling purple vortex. Your task now is to interact with the triangle gate.
If successful, you’ll see a message confirming “Dark Aether Rift Initiated.” Now, gather your teammates and individually mark the portal on the tactical map to vote yes. This will trigger a timer. Once the timer runs out, you will be pulled into the Dark Aether Rift.
How to Break the four Seals in Modern Warfare Zombies?
Once you have teleported into the Anomaly, your task is to break four Seals spread across the map. These locations will appear on your HUD. Start with the right side, then swim over to the nearest Seal to encounter fewer zombies.
Approach the Seal and interact to start. A blue ring will appear within which you have to defeat zombies. You can use items like Monkey Bombs and Energy Mines. Watch out for enemies like hellhounds and Manglers. Once enough zombies are defeated, the Seal will explode. Don’t forget to replenish shields and ammo before moving to the next Seal and repeating the process.
How to leave the Dark Aether in Modern Warfare Zombies?
After breaking the seals, you will finally encounter a tough boss named Gorm’gant, a massive worm. To defeat it, focus on the purple spots on its sides. Alternatively, if you have Insta-Kill, you can shoot the worm once to defeat it instantly.
Once Gorm’gant is defeated, don’t forget to grab the locked diary from the Reward Rift. Pick up any other rewards lying around, and leave.
Completing the Modern Warfare Zombies Bad Signal mission will reward you with a cinematic, the So Many Teeth Charm, and 10,000 XP.
