After much wait, the Revival Catalyst is finally in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight thanks to the 10.0.5. patch.

Gone are the days when players have to pray to the RNGods in order to get the tier pieces they so highly covet. Now, all players have to do is put in an extra bit of effort and complete group activities—which they already were doing—go to the Revival Catalyst and convert their own tier piece of choice.

For players looking to do this, here’s how to unlock the Revival Catalyst in WoW Dragonflight.

How to unlock the Revival Catalyst in WoW Dragonflight

Prior to patch 10.0.5 releasing and giving players the Revival Catalyst, players had to solely rely on drops from the Vault of the Incarnates raid or the Great Vault to get their tier gear.

That’s all changed, as on top of having the two aforementioned options, players can now create their tier piece of choice—granted they have an eligible item in the given slot—with the Revival Catalyst.

In order to use the Revival Catalyst, players first must unlock it.

The Revival Catalyst can be unlocked by completing a brief quest that begins with Watcher Koranos at top of the Seat of the Aspects in the main city of Valdrakken in Thaldraszus. Good ol’ Stony Tony (as some like to call him) will give players a quest titled “Reviving the Machine.” This quest will have players fly over to the Revival Catalyst to the left-hand side of Tyrhold and speak to Antuka, the Catalyst Steward, to activate it.

Once it’s activated, players will then get another quest titled “Revival Catalyst” which has them acquire Renascent Lifeblood from Group Content on the Dragon Isles. This group content includes anything from Mythic+ dungeons and Vault of the Incarnates raid boss kills to PvP battles, and World Events such as the Siege on Dragonbane Keep, Grand Hunts, or Storm’s Fury.

Upon completing the quest, they’ll gain a charge, allowing them to convert a gear piece of their choosing to a tier piece.
