How to Vote for the New League of Legends Item’s Visual Theme

Riot Games revealed in its September dev update, titled “QUICK GAMEPLAY THOUGHTS: ADDRESSING MYTHICS“, its plans to revamp the item system in League of Legends Season 2024. As a way of celebrating these changes with the player base, Riot Games has invited players and fans to vote on the visual theme for a brand new item it plans to introduce in the upcoming 2024 season.

The new item is a movement speed (MS) based tank support item and Riot is looking for an apt visual theme for this item named Go Fast With Friends. Currently, there are three options that the company has suggested — name and visual theme — from which players can vote for one since Go Fast With Friends is just a placeholder name.

Here’s how you can help Riot Games choose the name and visual theme of the new support item coming in 2024.

Players Choose a Visual Theme for a New League of Legends Item

Currently, Go Fast With Friends is a supportive tank item for champions like Leona, Nautilus, Alistar, or any melee support who are looking for extra movement speed and survivability.

With this item, when you move, you will gain bonus move speed and at the cap, you get a trail like Elixir of Iron which speeds up allies who follow you into battle. Your first attack on an enemy champion will consume your stacks and slow down the opponent.

While Go Fast With Friends does not grant as much personal movement speed as Dead Man’s Plate, it excels in rotations around the map as a team.

Riot Games said, “Go Fast With Friends isn’t exactly the most resonant item name, and carries no strong theme. Plus, we can’t leave its trail VFX as a copy-paste of Elixir of Iron. We want you to decide what Go Fast With Friends will look like on release!”

As a result, it has come up with three unique concepts with different regional themes, icons, and visual effects (VFX). Riot Games has invited players to vote on their favorite visual theme and name between 2nd October (Monday) 11:00 am PT and 6th October (Friday) 5:00 PM pm in the Overview tab of the client.

The following are the three unique options for Go Fast With Friends along with the item description and passive:

1. Eerie Invitation (From Shadow Isles): You’re not sure when you picked it up… But in your pocket is a strange letter you can’t remember putting there. From the depths of the Shadow Isles, an invitation to a party urging you ever onward towards the destination with its passive, Dark Missive.

2. Trailblazer (From Shurima): All who brave the deserts of Shurima wish they had this legendary pack from Nazumah to help guide them on their way. Brimming with supplies, its passive Make the Path can lead you and your team through the most dangerous encounters.

3. Scout’s Fanfare (From Bandle City): Calling Bandle Scouts one and all! These pipes help call all Yordles together, and make sure that the Bandle Scouts Lead the Way! (the name of the passive) with its jaunty trail of music.

How to Vote for Visual Theme of Go Fast With Friends

To vote for the best option for Go Fast With Friends, you need to follow these steps:

1. Log into your League of Legends account.

2. Click on ‘Home’ tab.

3. Navigate to ‘Overview’ right next to Worlds 2023.

4. In this page, you will see a small box in the bottom with a Leona cover titled ‘Pick the theme for a new item!’

6. Select the theme that most appealed to you and submit.

Once the winner is chosen. Riot Games will polish up the concepts above into a final version and get it ready to be shipped in January at the start of Season 2024. In the meantime, players can look for Go Fast With Friends along with all other gameplay changes on the League of Legends Public Beta Environment (PBE) starting 20th November.
