LCS 2024 Spring Split: Teams, Schedules, Standings
As we head into the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) 2024 season, the biggest development is that the league will work with just eight teams. On 20th November 2023, LCS opened up about its plans for 2024 and beyond. The president of esports at Riot Games, Josh Needham said Riot and all LCS partnered teams coneved and that the publisher expressed its commitment to the League of Legends esports ecosystem in North America.
The LCS will operate with just eight teams instead of the usual ten-team system. Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians exited the LCS ecosystem in 2024.

A Guide to LCS 2024 Spring Split
The LCS 2024 Spring Season is the first split of the eleventh year of NA’s professional league and eight teams will compete in a round-robin group stage. Explaining this move, Needham added, “This change will allow us to be much more flexible as we prepare to restructure the league for future success. We made this change prior to free agency that begins today to allow impacted players the ability to pursue opportunities with other teams or leagues.”
