Neyoo Says You Have to Stream Snipe to Grow as an Esports Player

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player Suraj “Neyoo” Majumdar was playing with his teammates from GodLike Esports in a recent livestream, and a fan asked him for tips to grow as an esports player. The pro player replied to the fan claiming that in this current era of esports, you need to stream snipe others to grow. It was a sarcastic comment that aimed to take a dig at Shubham “NinjaJOD” Ranjan Sahoo, who is an alleged stream sniper.

Neyoo indirectly calls out NinjaJOD for stream sniping

After Neyoo made the sarcastic comment, he followed up by saying, “You (fans) should not ask for tips to stream snipe. You already know what I mean and who to ask.”

He was referring to NinjaJOD, who according to Neyoo is a stream sniper.  He added, “If you want to become an esports player, you need to stream snipe and kill your enemies in the lobby. You aim down sights (ADS) and you already know who you are targeting. This was not the case in the past, but things have changed recently.”

The controversy was kickstarted after TSM killed GodLike Esports members during Neyoo’s livestream last month. NinjaJOD defended himself following Neyoo’s remarks and lashed out at the GodLike Esports pro.

NinjaJOD responded to the initial allegations last month saying, “I watch streams of good players including international esports stars. Why would I watch streams of players who I can learn nothing from? He (Neyoo) plays like I used to back in Season 2 and I don’t need to watch his streams.”

He also called out the GodLike roster saying that the players get eliminated in 1v3 and 1v4 situations and they “have been reduced to a meme.” He urged GodLike to start performing instead of “shouting” on livestreams. NinjaJOD is yet to respond to Neyoo’s recent comments but he is unlikely to stay quiet about the situation.
