Reliving Tundra Esports’ Journey To TI11 Title
Tundra Esports have managed to reach the pinnacle of the professional Dota 2 scene by winning The International 2022 (TI11).
Tundra Esports had a good start to the season, as it claimed back-to-back top three finishes during the WEU DPC and also placing third at the ESL One Stockholm Major.
However, the team saw a drop in performance as it achieved a top eight finish at Riyadh Masters 2022 & a top 16 finish at the Arlington Major.
Despite its hardships later in the season, the team came back strong as it went on an undefeated streak during the group stage, topping Group B with a 14-4 win-loss ratio.
Having qualified to the Upper Bracket, Tundra continued its undefeated streak as it defeated both OG & Team Aster to reach the UB Finals.
However, its UB Finals match against Team Secret saw the team going into a full best of three series, with Tundra securing the final blow to advance into the Grand Finals.
While it faced Secret again in a rematch at the Grand Finals, this time Tundra stomped Secret 3-0 to secure the coveted Aegis of Champions trophy and a massive prize money of $8,486,026 USD.
