Velocity Gaming Roleplay server was the organization’s first GTA V server which was announced earlier this year in April. A lot of content creators from Velocity Gaming, as well as other esports organizations, joined the server to play together. The server quickly gained popularity in the Indian gaming community, and fans enjoyed it. However, over the course of time, the server started to lose its popularity. As a result, the owner of Velocity Gaming, Manoj “Sentinel” Kashyap, announced that the organization would soon create a new server, VLT RP 2.0.

Fans were anticipating the launch of the new server in December 2022, but it did not launch. Instead, Sentinel announced on his livestream and on Velocity Gaming Roleplay’s YouTube channel that the launch of VLT RP 2.0 is on hold and will reveal further details on 2nd January. Finally, on 2nd January, Velocity Gaming and S8UL Esports announced the collaboration between them.

In a recent livestream, Sentinel said, “I am happy to announce that there will be no VLT RP 2.0, but we have something completely different; it will be SOULCITY RP from now on, with a lot more content and assets.”

Lokesh “Goldy” Jain, co-owner of S8UL Esports, said, “Finally, it is an official collaboration between S8UL Esports and Velocity Gaming. There will be a lot of things different this time. The mistakes made in the past will not be repeated again. All the problems and issues you had will hopefully be solved.” He added, “At the end of the day, it is going to be an amazing role play experience for all of you. SOULCITY is S8UL and Velocity Gaming’s city, so we have to keep the name of both organizations and maintain their legacy and reputation in the journey.”

GTA V has been gaining a lot of traction in the Indian gaming community over the past couple of years. A lot of organizations and content creators have been exploring it. Popular Indian Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) content creator Aaditya “Dynamo” Sawant also recently reinstated the Hydra Town Roleplay (HTRP) server.
