Will Ashika Island Have AI Combatants in Warzone 2.0 ?
AI (Artificial Intelligence) is not only “threatening” jobs in the real world, but it is also making Warzone 2.0 players upset. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 was met with positive reviews from players and critics alike but the inclusion of AI enemies has been very controversial. With fan-favorite game mode Resurgence making a return in Season 2, players are unhappy at the fact that AI enemies are being added to the mode.
Ashika Island will have AI combatants
AI combatants exist in both DMZ and Warzone 2.0’s battle royale mode, and they will be added to Resurgence as well on 15th February when the Ashika Island map drops. When Warzone 2.0 first came out, players were concerned about the damage dealt by the AI combatants. But things changed when the Season 1 Reloaded update dropped
Infinity Ward reduced the damage by AI combatants by 26% in the recent Season 1 Reloaded content update, but it looks like the enemy accuracy has gone up significantly. Several content creators and players have complained about the difficulty of the AI and a lot of players refuse to even touch DMZ because of how over-tuned the AI feels at times.
A recent Reddit post highlighted the issue of AI combatants in Season 1 Reloaded saying that the bots are completely overwhelming and deal crazy high damage. The enemies seem to have wall hacks as they are able to track players through walls and can instantly land headshots if you peek out of a corner.
Players have even noticed the AI spawn out of thin air at times and are “hard coded” to shoot at specific intervals. With Season 2 set to arrive in less than two weeks, Infinity Ward may be looking at possible changes to the AI to tone down the difficulty when Resurgence makes a return with the new Ashika Island map.
Ashika Island and Resurgence will launch on 15th February along with balance changes, content and an all-new Season Pass for Warzone 2.0, DMZ and Modern Warfare 2.
