Yelan is the second 5-star Hydro character released consecutively, following Ayato from the Ver. 2.6
Here is our guide to farm all ascension materials to level-up Yelan and bring her full potential to the battleground.
Latest – Release Date Delayed
Unfortunately, the Genshin Impact 2.7 update has been postponed indefinitely due to affectations provoked by the COVID lockdown in Shanghai.
Rumors indicate that it will take Hoyoverse around three weeks to be back on track. So, on June 1, 2022, instead of receiving the second phase, Genshin Impact 2.7 will go live.
But not everything is bad news. For those looking forward to Yelan’s arrival, the delay will offer more chances to obtain Primogems.
Around 37 wishes are available from the rest of the events in version 2.6, and the refresh of the Spiral Abyss and Paimon’s Bargain Shop on May 15 and May 30.
Three weeks will also give enough time to collect all the ascension materials, talent items, and artifacts for the new 5-star Hydro Character Yelan.

Yelan’s Best Weapon and Artifacts
Yelan seems to have a big DMG potential, however considering the very efficient outfield hydro application she provides, she will shine the best as a Sub-DPS.
The Emblem of Severed Fate set will increase a boost to Yelan’s Elemental Burst while getting enough Energy Recharge to have her abilities ready for each rotation.
Another option is a combination of Heart of the Depth and Noblesse Oblige that will increase Yelan Hydro DMG and Elemental Burst.
Artifact Stats: Sands: HP – Goblet: Hydro DMG – Circlet: Crit. Rate or Crit. DMG
The BIS weapon for Yelan is the 5-star bow Aqua Simulacra, which will be released along with the Yelan banner in Genshin Impact 2.7. This bow puts in some serious work with a high ATK base and Crit. DMG as the secondary stat.
Elegy for the End is another interesting 5-star good option, especially for Yelan as Sub-DPS. This bow will buff the Elemental Mastery and ATK of your entire team.
Similar to Xingqiu the best free-to-play option is the R5 Sacrificial Bow, so Yelan can restart the cooldown of her Elemental Skill and gain particles to get Yelan Elemental Burst ready.
