After BGMI’s return on 29th May, there were many tournaments organized by tournament organizers which accounted for an overall prize pool of more than INR 1 Crore. The announcement for BGMS Season 2 was made by Nodwin Gaming on 21st July, a couple of days after BGIS 2023 was announced. BGMS Season 2 will feature a massive prize pool of INR 2.1 Crores which is an increase of INR 57.50 Lakh in comparison to the first season.
Mazy on his live stream shared his thoughts on the BGMS Season 2 points system
Mazy, while speaking to his viewers on his live stream, spoke about which teams will have an advantage with the newly introduced points system and why it is important for teams to change their drop strategies.
“No one will contest solo drops in tournaments, as the teams securing a finish in the first zone will be awarded 2 points for each finish. Teams will no longer use split drop strategies and there will be a lot of chaos in the first zone as teams will be targeting solo players for finish points. Mazy also predicts that teams will be willing to take drop fights to secure more points,” said Mazy
According to the new points system revealed by Nodwin Gaming for BGMS Season 2, teams securing a finish in the first zone will be awarded 2 points for each finish. This will be the only change in the points system.
